SC-123U Uchida Tokio Signature Model
New signature model of Tokio Uchida, a solo guitarist active in Japan and abroad, mainly in country and blues genre.
The new model, given the model number SC-123U, is a special combination of hard German spruce and Honduran rosewood.
The nut has an offset groove cut closer to the 6th string to improve playability.
In addition, the SC body design, which makes the body slightly thinner than the regular S series, not only makes it easier to play, but also cuts the mid and low frequency overtones to a moderate level, making no compromises in terms of sound.
This guitar enables players to express their delicate touch.
The SC-123U model is produced by master luthier Takumi Morinaka. The top, back, sides, and even the neck are all made of carefully selected Honduran mahogany. Jacaranda is used lavishly for the fingerboard, bridge, and head plate.

Headstock Design
Morris logo with distinctive gentian design and wood inlay. Black chrome hardware and ebony-colored tuning keys add a touch of class.
Offset Nut
The offset nut is essential to Uchida's playing style. Offsetting all strings to the 6th string side is the ideal setting for ragtime blues and solo guitar.
Neck Joint
High-precision dovetail joints are handcrafted by skilled builders. This is the joint method that Morris has consistently employed, and it is the part that has the greatest impact on the sound and requires the highest level of technical skill.
Fingerboard
The fingerboard is made of Jacaranda wood for a bright and responsive sound. The one-pointed gentian inlay on the 12F stands out and giving off sophisticated impression.
Rosette & Cutaway
The wood rosette and wood binding are used for natural feel. The smooth and beautifully curved Venetian cutaway enhances the playability in the high position required of a solo guitar.

The combination of precious Honduran mahogany and standard round back design produces a stunning sound. The silk flat finish, which allows for the thinnest possible coating, brings out the texture of the wood grain in this high-quality design.
