This guitar is characterized by the warmth, delicate nuances, and rich overtones unique to domestic woods. Thanks to luthier Morinaka's exceptional skill and craftsmanship, it offers outstanding playability that meets the demands of any playing style.

About Kihada (Amur Cork Tree)

The greatest appeal of Kihada (Amur cork tree) lies in its beautiful color. The distinctive color of its bark is known as "Kihada-iro" (Kihada color) and is recognized as one of Japan's traditional colors. In the Heian period, it was a prestigious color used for dyeing kimonos, paper, and even formal attire.
The wood grain of Kihada has an elegant texture that creates a natural, refined appearance, giving it a visual presence unlike any other.
As a tonewood, Kihada is relatively lightweight yet offers soft acoustic properties. It is characterized by a warm mid-to-low range and a naturally smooth high end that’s easy on the ears. From fingerpicking to strumming, it responds flexibly to a wide range of playing styles, producing a gentle, embracing sound.
